erm...I have an interesting computer problem by scragman 2005-03-15 12:48:20
So far today I've had to visit three machines with the same problem. All three of them had issues with their network adapters. Specifically, they get the microsoft error code 31 (the one in the device manager that says it cannot load a device driver for a device). New drivers, old drivers, uninstalling and reinstalling the device, system restores to a previous date all didn't help. It still comes up as an unknown device, but still retains it's name (for example, it says it's an unknown device called a 3Com 10/100 network adapter). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Note: I was unable to swap network adapters on the machines as I do not have the resources or the means.
