My mother said something funny the other day. by jmaxsohmer 2005-03-15 12:24:21
She was asking about the package that I told her to keep an eye out for (my Cowboy Bebop soundtracks), and when I explained that I'd just spent money on music CDs this is what she told me...

"If you're going to start spending money on music, you should consider getting an iPod."

Or something to that effect.

I wanted to scream.

I still do.

I really want an iPod - but there's just so much stuff I'm trying to save up for right now... I don't have time for a job with my courseload, so the only income I have is my montly allowance that I'm supposed to live on. Which I'm only supposed to spend on school-related stuff. I have been operating well within my budget... so I probably have saved up enough extra money in that account to get an iPod. But I doubt she'll let me spend it on something that's not school-related...

Unless...

<idea>
Unless I use it to transfer files and assignments between computers.

That could work... it IS a 40-gig hard drive...
