Avoid booze at all costs. Sunlight is key though. It stimulates the production of certain chemicals which cause a natural sort of euphoria (on a very low level). The reason a lot of drug addicts feel really crummy and depressed after they stop certain drugs is that those also cause the chemicals to be produced, so the body stops doing it naturally because it doesn't need to. Then when the drug stops... Anyway, get lots of sunlight. That's the cheapest and easiest way.
