Siamese cats are very personable. They are active and interested in everything going on around them. They use their front paws to manipulate things more than most other cats do. Because they have short coats, what hair they do shed is less noticeable, and causes less trouble (read: vomiting) than coats from longer-haired cats. They will carry on a conversation -- you with your voice, the Siamese with hers -- for as long as you keep answering. When socialised correctly, they are very affectionate and people-oriented. Don't say nasty things about Siamese cats until you have surveyed a statistically-significant sample of the population!
