Or a "declining neighbourhood" ? In a street where the ppl LIVING there don't have (room for) washing machines, dry-cleaners make a good living still ask LOW prices (say: 3 euro's for trousers cleaned + pressed, same for a vest, double it for a rain coat that has to be rainproofed after washing) That will be well below ANY hotel service, but yes, you'll have to walk (one street, unless your hotel is in a really "posh" neighbourhood)
