| I'm on the company's dime. I am, in fact, in a Hampton Inn right now. Not too shabby, (I've definitely been in worse) but certainly not worthy of any more than a single star. (I won't even get into their awful wireless service. I'm using dial-up for the first time in 3.5 years right now). I'm also in a really crappy neighborhood, but that's pretty typical. The customers I'm here supporting, however, are staying in the heart of down town in the Clarion. A historic building that was used as General Sherman's wintering over quarters during the war of Northern Agression. I know it's a swank place because I bought them dinner last night in the hotel resteraunt which cost me enough to feed an entire village of third world children for a month. I hate it when I have to be on site sucking up to VP's and Senior Program Managers. If my engineers would just communicate a little better, I could avoid the whole mess. |
