At least, insomuch as knowing that you aren't alone:

My last weekend at home before going on the road I spent my Saturday moving 7500 pounds of stone with my brother-in-law, then after he left, moved I-don't-know-many boxes from my basement to my garage. Mostly books. Went to bed Saturday night (rather worn out) only to wake about an hour later to the screaming of my three year old complaining that his ear hurt. The screaming continued all night, he and I might have managed another hour of sleep between us.

Took him to the emergency clinic on Sunday where we waited over three hours to see a doctor. He cried the entire time in the very busy waiting room and managed to throw up all over both of us. Twice.

So that was my weekend. You have my sympathy.

Oh, and according to my wife one of my daughters now has the same thing my son has which is going to require her to take (another) day off work because I'm out of town. Do my kids really only get sick when I'm on the road and on weekends, or am I just gone so often that there really isn't much other window of opportunity for them?
