are khakis and other twill trousers, with an assortment of turtlenecks, button-down shirts, and sweaters. My jeans live in the laundry-- I can't wear 'em to work, so it's pretty low priority getting on with washing them. The T-shirts with logos and non-work-safe designs almost never leave the closet.
One excruciatingly conservative suit, two more relaxed suits, and a couple of blazers for presentations and conferences.
I have a few nice brocade pieces with my RennFair garb, but it's mostly gauze.
My social formalwear consists of many nice wool skirts, untouched for years, and several dresses, but nothing that reaches the level of an evening gown since my cream bridesmaid's dress died of an incurable case of mustard. (Unless you count the entombed wedding dress, but since there's zero chance of my ever wearing it again, I don't think it qualifies as clothing; it's just an object.) |
