Then you are asking for it :) Seriously, it's the whole different set of skills. Besides, they'd happily write you a tool to reduce any number of consecutive dots to exactly 3. As for the commas, I don't think that high school teaches that. One has to read strunkenwite on their own, I think... Next, you'll want a semicolon? Just don't tell them about colon, they might misunderstand and get upset :)
