About time for the second UF programming contest? by Arachnid2005-03-10 16:44:43
How about two-card stud? by williamashbless 2005-03-10 17:00:22
One card up, one down, best hand wins.

$1000 a side, $1 ante. First 'bid' goes to the highest showing hand (in this case high card). Standard poker rules for betting, $100 max cap.

Deal alternates.

You'd have to generate based on probability, or find a list of which poker hands beat what, if you allow the 'flush' or 'two card run' to be a valid poker hand.

It's small enough of a problem space to actually model in our spare time... full five card games are the stuff of serious AI work.
