I do have a problem with the whole "they're not really Christians, because they don't act/believe the way I think they should." And I'm not talking so much about your statement--the technique is used as often if not more by fundamentalists toward more liberal groups of Christians.

For that matter, it's not even limited to religion. I've heard people say "well, she's not really black because she doesn't act black" (whatever that means). I haven't thought it through more than that and have no suggestion for world betterment, but it's always grated on the nerves.
