W.'s reference to a "crusade against terror" certainly skirted the line of a religious mandate. And his repeated statements of taking American-style "freedom" to the rest of the world, in context with his many statements concerning his god-fearingness lend heavy credence to concluding that Bush does indeed feel that he has a religious mandate.
