There's some random program on some channel or other that my parents are watching about banned adverts.
I can't get over just how wussy and sheltered the various 'guests' are. There's a PETA advert where a bloke hits a woman over the head with a stick and steals her fur coat, and one of the critics claimed that that image will stay with her for the rest of her life. There's one where a smoker literally coughs up their lungs (which, probably deliberately, look very fake and rubbery on a fishing wire), which then run off. This, apparently, is foul and disgusting and a "look away" moment.
Good. Grief. And, the thing is, the censors must have agreed to some extent. |
