Every other one I've heard, though (all through Audible.com as well, except for the LOTR trilogy and the five Harry Potter books, which I have on actual cassettes -- why do they price the CDs so much higher anyway?!) have been just one person reading. Most will vary their voices when reading different characters (some readers more than others). The person reading Eragon was really good at his throaty growl for the animals' speech (whose names I won't begin to try and spell, since I only heard them rather than seen them in print).
Definitely agree with the "unabridged only". Abridged feels like you're getting jypped. |
