I hate ties, they are one of the most pointless items of clothing you could wear and are really demeaning. So... My questions are: Who invented the tie (if invented is the right word) Why were they invented and why do we continue to wear them in our modern so called enlightened age. Oh and the only thin ties I remember are the old school ones we used to have when I was in school (surprisingly), I still have my Abbey Grange high school one if you want it :) Eric
