If the computer has msdos it does not nessisarily have laplink. It should have a program called *spends 15 mins thinking* interlink. one PC is host and the other guest. for example, if you want the lab machine to be the guest, you have to start the host software on your laptop (btw when the software is running on your laptop you cant do anything else) and add the interlnk.exe (i think... btw thats not a typo, it has to be interlnk.exe, if im right) command to the config.sys file on the lab pc (you can also do this the other way around if you arent allowed to reboot the lab PC) and you should be good to go. if the lab pc has windows you could do the same thing with direct cable connect which is a lot simpler. There are alot of other details if probably forgot to mention so i reccomend doing a google search for a detaild MSDOS commandlist and guide which includes sufficent detail on interserver and interlnk. when everything gets working you can access the drives on the other pc (either from your laptop or the other way around) just like normal network drives. [disclaimer] If you destroy your pc, someone elses pc, yourself or any of your friends, dont come running lawsuit happy to me.[/disclaimer]
