Law interpretation question. by techi8702005-03-10 11:37:41
I disagree with the others about part (d) by altordwm 2005-03-10 11:54:28
the parts in (i) and (ii) about the visibility of the container on apply if it is an unattended vehicle.

The way I read it, you can put your gun in a locked container anywhere in a vehicle while you are in attendance at the vehicle. If you park the car to get a burger on your way to the range, the container needs to be either in a locked trunk or similar compartment or (in absence of such a compartment) inside the locked vehicle and out of view from the outside.

Assuming the cab of your truck locks and you placed the container out of view (in the console), not only could you transport it, you can get your burger.

IANAL
