Engineers should not touch electronics by MikeCDN 2005-03-10 09:11:21
We have a laptop, a dell, with the batterys in front... the battery slot which you can alternate to a disc drive has broken over the years, so that the clip that is supposed to hold it in place, doesn't and it will slide out.

An engineer just brought me the laptop complaining about it, I expalined that the casing of the laptop is broken and there is nothing I can do, and it will need to be sent to dell for repair.

"Couldn't you just take a screw, and hold it in place?"

Screw through the battery, into the mboard....
