My long-term gf used to have a habit of buying things at Ikea and then foisting the assembly off on me. Which she got me to do, until she twice in a row bought things which I thought were unnecessary wastes of space and nastiness ensued. So, in my experience:
1. Yes, men end up assembling these things;
2. Women SHOULD be shown assembling these things. A more modern corollary to "you break it, you buy it" should be "you thought it was a good idea to buy something that needs assembling, it is your problem. I'm going out, see you later." |
