manage to WHINE about getting money? Just got a cashier's check for $$ (just enough to get me out of trouble with the IR/A/S, and get the (used) car paid for/repaired, with a small amount left over to save.). The sad thing is, the way I got it makes me feel slimy.
My Dear, Sainted, Father (whom long-time UFies may remember I despise) sent it to me after my grandmother died and her will probated. The problem is that I can't separate the money from it's source. This is the man who set my life up to be the disgusting thing that much of it has been, and who hasn't ever given up being slime (he's tried to involve me in his financial schemes by forging my name).
I need this money, my pastor has had some sharp words with me about the subject ("honor thy father" has nothing to do with him being honorable, and such) and yet I still feel like writing "void" on this check and tossing it!
Never mind me, maybe enough showering will wash the sliminess off. I'm just whining... |
