I've been trying for a long time	by rorajoey	2005-03-08 23:15:35
to get rid of my high-interest (27%!) card, but every time I apply for a lower-interest card for a balance transfer, I'm turned down. It used to be because of my 1997 Chapter 13 (which is totally paid off); now it's because I have insufficient income (<$800/month). Fortunately I just got an income tax refund, and I paid Providian nearly a month's salary, but my balance is still sitting just below 8K. :/ If I don't find a better job soon, I doubt I'll ever get the thing paid off.
