In fact, they're the principal promoters of an especially harsh interpretation of Islam. Let's just say that for the wife of my Navy translator nephew-in-law, moving to a place under heavy Saudi influence was one h4 of an adjustment. In that particular environment, the Shiites come out looking like "the good guys", never mind what they did to Iran.
