. . . the range is in warranty, in which case they pretty much "eat it". (Apparently, the manufacturers ripoff the dealers, on labor costs, for warranty work.) I've also seen misalignments cause intermittent ignition--was a warranty issue on the range I bought for my old house (and still miss--alas, no gas in the present, rented residence). They replaced an out-of-spec burner or burner/igniter assembly (I don't recall which, any more), and Magic Happened once again. -- HadEnuf?
