... for something you're selling.
I've been wanting to sell my car for a while (details in diary, in brief, as to the car itself). Similar cars around here that are in good shape, but without the recent repairs (and with pitiful V6s as opposed to my half-decent V8 and without the t-roof my car has) are going for about $800 less than what I want for mine.
He calls up tonight, offers me $5500 for my car cause he thinks it is a fair price. Problem #1 is the price he thinks is fair. Problem #2 is the fact that he has less than 10% of the price up front, and wants to pay it back over a period of 10 months.
I told him I'd give think about it, but I know I can get more, so I'm going to have to tell him it's a nog go tomorrow. Just gotta figure out how.
(the *real* reason behind the difficulty, besides what I already listed, is that he needs wheels to get to his new job, a job he got in order to help prove to the courts that he is turned his life around following a stabbing incident whilst he was a tad bit drunk... I want to help him, but I don't think this is a way I can help him in) |
