| After spending around $400 and literally replacing everything inside the box except my 3.5" floppy, IT STILL DOESN'T WORK. I am using a borrowed CD-ROM drive, since I still don't have the money for that. Anywho, I try to install Windows XP, and after multiple tries and fiddlings to get it this far, I can finally get it to the setup screen, where it brings up the nice blue background and tells me all the nice things about XP while it finishes. It begins to "Inspect Devices" or something like that, and about a minute into it, I get a Blue Screen of Death. It gives some hex code about the error, then says to restart. I've tried this with multiple CDs, but all have been scratched. The only thing I can still think of to do is to make a new boot disc on a friend's computer. Any of you know something else I can do? |
