Anybody use Internet Connection Sharing on Win2K? by JPaganel2005-03-08 16:24:25

    2K with the modem, 98 as a client? (n/t) by JPaganel2005-03-08 17:08:16
It's pretty simple actually by romandas 2005-03-08 18:45:50
And yes, you could use 98 as a client without a problem. Just need to set up a LAN connection between the 98 and 2K box, then share the dial-up connection to the internal network. You can set up the 98 box to get a DHCP address from the 2K box or set a static one in the range 192.168.0.x (s/m 255.255.255.0) and the gateway will be 192.168.0.1

You can change these values if you want as well. I for one do not use the default private network, for security precautions. Then again, I'm paranoid :)
