...doesn't cause black marks to appear on your credit history unless you miss making the minimum payments. For obvious reasons, the CC companies love it when you carry a balance. Fifteen or more years ago it cost me almost $7000 to pay off $5000 worth of credit card balance. I never missed a minimum payment, but you'll note that the interest charges are often higher than what the minimum payment is. It's a horrid swirling vortex that sucks you in, and it sucks you in by your urge to consume.
