This is another reason raising minimum wage can be bad. You are more likely to affect the economy of the rural areas than the urban. Many rural companies rely on those minimum wage high school students to do certain jobs that do not require any skills. When Congress arbitrarily raises that minimum, they affect everybody in those areas whose wage was effectively decreased.
