going to the range to blow off steam by putting rounds into bits of paper instead of going back to the office with a bat or a golf club to bludgeon some one with. the gun because of its more destructive capability and noise and heat and all the cool factor, compensates nicely for the lack of the satisfying crunch of a skull meeting a blunt object. It also keeps you out of jail for agravated assault/ murder 1 or manslaughter. Some days you just gotta blow off steam.
