The reality of children, or why have so many. by Peace_man2005-03-08 12:37:38
So once again by hyzenthlay 2005-03-08 13:09:52
we see that the reasons for having many children are entirely selfish? All the more reason to support a license or menas test to procreate.

I don't htink your argument has any validity at all in the states. Between food stamps, housing subsidies, and social securtity most eldery are sheltered. it may not be a good life, but their basic needs are met.

If they were thinking when young they would have foregone children, worked harder, and provided for their own retirement instead of spending money on children.

If they were really 'shrewd' they would not spend money on rental furniture. They would not use check cashing/ payroll advance/ or title loan companies. They woudl live within hteir means, which does NOT include having children.

They learn bad habits form their parents, those habits are encouraged by their peers, and we as a society can not afford to subsidize them. What we really need if probably classes in school starting at age 10, before too many drop out, that really talk about how money works.
