Instead, your children, or your GRANDCHILDREN, dump their kids off for you to raise while they go back to their drugs and sleeping around. Imagine being eighty years old, in diapers, and dealing with a three year old.
Secondly, most people in the nursing home are on Medicaid. You have to spend down almost all your assets to qualify. Some of the people may have lived up the yuppie lifestyle and have some assets to pay for it. But believe it or not, you don't have to be of the McMansion set to get into a nursing home.
Another poster's image of children as a fashion accessory or trophy is much more accurate, and it applies to the wealthier sets as well. |
