Doing a random run to a "big box" retailer one day...Got a box of tampons and some ibuprofen for use in the very near future. Picked up a pound of M&M's on sale. Cruised the kitchen aisle looking for deals and found a deeply discounted Calphalon 7.5" chef's knife. The last item gave the nineteen year old male cashier pause. He skipped the "Do you want to apply for credit card/discount card/get a car wash today" upsell spiel for once.
