I am NOT considering bankruptcy merely to avoid debts. I am saying that IF bankruptcy becomes the only option, I would still carry the greatest part of the load. The whole point of bankruptcy is saying "I cannot make ends meet. I'm giving up everything I have, sell it off, and my creditors get what they can; I'll start from a clean slate." You don't carry any debts or assets through.
