Though I don't usually admire a gun for how efficiently it accomplishes it's purpose. (unless it's a purpose built target rifle) I will admire the mechanical genius and craftsmanship though.

For instance I really like the design of the Luger Pistol. It's pure genious. However, I would not call it an efficient design. Top honors for that would probably go to Gaston Glock and his pistols are downright Fugly!
