and agree with whatever compromise you come up with after she agrees there is a problem (sometimes denial is the hardest part to overcome), then write the ground rules down and appeal to them whenever the "situation" arises, which it will - people don't change overnight. Basically, use the same strategy that works so well right here: forum rules. I find that having a written agreement like that can go along way to diffuse confrontation even within a family, such as with SO or children. On the other hand, what do I know.
