. . . -o -type d -exec rmdir {} ';' -o -exec rm -f {} ';' The negated form is more painful to write, IME, than its "DeMorganized" counterpart, above. A "bonus feature" is that the directories not left empty are conveniently reported on standard error, by 'rmdir'. -- HadEnuf?
