Sharbinutionism (n.) - A religious sect whose primary worshipping style relies heavily upon being in a njiblargnongktic state. The altar of sharbinutionism is typically built of empty beer cans, and sacred scripture is often composed on the spot, scrawled on the carboard of empty beer cases. A popular practice at most major universities, it is also largely suspected that certain major government officials also practice this religion (it would, after all, go a long way in explaining a few things).
An exerpt from the Encyclopedia Galactica, sent backwards through time: "It is theorized that Sharbinutionism grew in its political influence during the early twenty-first century, made evident by the governing body of the United States."
