in other places. We get wind. A snowfall is typically seen three or four times, first heading in one direction, then in the other. Drifting up here is intense. 10 foot drifts can appear anywhere. They have installed snow fencing on the edge of town to catch the majority of the drifts, cutting snow removal costs by 25% after installation. Our door to the apartment building this morning had jammed partially open (it opens outwards, the one on the other side of the building is always free though) filling the foyer with snow. Same thing at work, foyer full of snow. Doors frequently break due to snow/ice jams.
