Pic 1 looks as though the guys have 5th ID patches on their left shoulders. As far as I know, the 5th was decomissioned in the early 90's. They're also wearing digital camo which I don't think has made it into the Army inventory yet (though it's coming, a whole new uniform) so I can only be left to conclude those are jar-heads wearing patches of some sort. Any more info on that pic?
