Weird Hardware/XP Question by compubmw2005-03-08 01:08:52
Are you sure it is the computer and not by Havoc 2005-03-08 05:08:46
the UPS? Sounds can be deceiving. When it does it again, pop the cover and put your finger over the hole in the mobo speaker - the sound should drop off to nearly nothing. If it doesn't - keep looking for the sound - I bet it's the UPS giving an alarm of some type.

If it IS the mobo speaker, do you have the UPS software loaded? The UPS could be alerting you to some power condition via the software and causing the beepage.
