I was talking more about Illiad's personal experience. Yes. Once traffic gets heavy, any slowdown tends to cascade into total gridlock. He actually made it through though.

I just think it's healthier for folks not to invest so much energy into situations like this. There have been studies that show drivers reactions and judgement are impaired after stressful events, i.e. near miss accidents. My philosophy is to remain calm and alert so that I can guide my vehicle safely to its destination. Sort of a zen meditation while driving. You are aware of events around you but you're driving now.
