Sure, I was with my high school choir at the time and there was a recorded track we were singing over and it was only for one song, but I was still on stage with him and singing live.
I hope to do more serious backup work someday... since then I've only gotten to work with people nobody's heard of...
My college vocal instructor was rather well known within the industry, but as a pro studio singer her name wasn't overly well known to the outside world. My musicianship/sightreading teacher is also well known within the 20th century choral music world... but again, unknown to the outside world.
Now if we're going to do a 6 Degrees type thing... I sing in a 5-woman acapella group in which one of the founding members with me is the wife of one of the saxophonists in the Brian Setzer Orchestra. Nice guy. :) Unfortunately, she's no longer a member of the group so I no longer have my inside track on the BSO... |
