What's wrong with my email server and/or domain? by SnappingTurtle2005-02-28 15:34:47
  hmmm.... by babywhizIT 2006-11-19 12:55:59
I should be able to telnet into idocs.com on port 25.

I tried to look up the IP, and this is what easywhois says: The IP address from which you have visited the <your Registrar > WHOIS database is contained within a list of IP addresses that may have failed to abide by <your registrar> WHOIS policy. Failure to abide by this policy can adversely impact our systems and servers, preventing the processing of other WHOIS requests.

This is what happens when I telnet into our smtp server: 220 <my domain> ESMTP All Connections Logged!; Mon, 28 Feb 2005 20:24:16 -0600

That is what I would expect telnetting into your server would do, however, I cannot get an IP from whois.

Good Luck! This is a good resource to help troubleshoot....

However, I am not very smart on these type of things.....past the handful of experience I have.
