Didn't claim enough exemption, that is. Graduated in '03. Moved back in with parents. Parents wanted to claim me on their tax return as a dependent- only fair as I was still living there... their accountant told them they couldn't. Oops.

They didn't bother telling me this until recently. Soooo, file this year, amend last year (to also include a student loan interest deduction) and the result should be a decent addition to my emergency fund.

I'm poor. I need my money back. If they miss it that much, they can make a dent in the billions of dollars of farm subsidies they give out.
