he wants your picture in case it's ever needed. like if someone does an unpleasant thing on premises, the complainant goes through the face book to determine whether an employee did it, or someone else did. another place i worked posted a regular newsletter with photos of new employees -- it faciliated acquaintance with people in other departments. more could perhaps be said. -- goodforme
