It's a proper lane, with a proper dividing line (a solid white one, no less). Your 'smugness' may not help road rage, but it's not illegal (or particularly unethical).
But, yeah, it's an...'experience' having a nutter on a motorbike blast down between you and the adjacent car. It's not exactly enjoyable having bicyclists, finding the gutter blocked by a motorist hugging the kerb, trying to wiggle their bike around the front of your car and down the middle of the lanes in stationary traffic. Especially when the lights start to change while they're at right-angles to the direction of travel. |
