Problem being if you fire from a retention position as seen here you end up with a lot of hot gasses, unburnt, powder etc. being blown in your face. I've never fired a compensated Glock, the extra 7 degrees of grip angle make life difficult enough as it is. I have, however, gone up against one in a man vs. man pistol match using an uncompensated 1911 in .45 ACP. I won. There's no substitute for training and practice. My advice would be to pick up a refurbished police trade-in Glock and spend the money you save on ammo and training. If you want to drop some money on making it pretty I can dig up a name of an excellent Glock 'Smith later tonight or tomorrow.
