That the current Republican party has its 1960s roots in those who left the Democratic party because the Democrats were supportive of those civil, and equal, rights.
Unless you care to explain with much greater clarity the historical aspect of why the Conservatives should be proud of that period, I will gladly just ignore your point.
Either way, the broad brush still applies, I guess that's one bit of classification predjudice the conservatives never left behind.
