Or do you have to check it in, then pick it up after ... many hours, when the checkup is completed? My brother was lucky last time: got to control center, had to wait only "minutes" before being served / checked while there was no queue. So he got out of the test facility in ... less than 30 minutes. Not enough to have an engine cool down to "cold start" it. Besides, the cold start emission looks awful, but if your car is OK, it won't last. It's amazing how soon a motor is hot.
