...some years ago. Except that it was some international computing contest held in some country in Middle America (I forgot which one) and the kid even got education ministry's sponsorship. After he "won" the contest no one else has ever heard of and with absolutely no records whatsoever, he was dragged all over courts and had to pay everything back. I don't know how that ended though.

Perhaps this is where that Indian kid got the idea.
